Our Youth Group

Derby Central has a busy youth programme with a variety of activities for young people of all age ranges.

All young people are welcome to join our activities.

Discipleship classes/Cell groups

13+ For teenagers there are a variety of events.

13+ Discussion & activity (every week 12-1pm)

13+ Is a discipleship class for those aged 13-15 who want to learn more about the Christian Faith & how it applies to their lives.

16+ Is a discipleship class/cell group (every week from 12-1pm) for those aged 16 -25 (including students) who want to go more in-depth about the Christian faith and how it applies to their lives.

Youth Fellowship – (every Sunday at 7pm)

This is a chill out time for young people so they can relax & spend time with each other after the evening meeting. Sometimes there are formal activities (games, puzzles etc) but often it is completely unstructured. This is usually in the youth suite at the hall, but during the summer months we head off to the park for football, rounders, walks or just to chill.

Youth Club – Friday 8pm – 10pm

We meet every Friday evening to spend time together, either chilling after a busy week, occasionally we take a walk, play games, snooker, table tennis, watch TV, a film or just chat.

Contact us for more information.

Youth Retreat

We take an annual weekend retreat usually in November. Our retreats take us away from the daily routine, giving us time to focus on us, our lives, what being a Christian is all about, our walk with God.

There are many activities included along with three major sessions of class/ workshop based topics to enrich our relationship with each other, but more importantly with God.

We eat, drink (soft drinks only), laugh & LOVE. ‘GREAT FUN’

Youth Programme Aims

* To help every young person in our care to develop physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually.

* To give every young person we come into contact with, an opportunity to respond to the Gospel.

* To attract and introduce more young people to the programme we provide.

Safe & Sound

Here at Derby Central Corps anyone who works with Children & Young people in any capacity regularly completes Safe & Sound training and must submit a Police CRB check every three years.
